The Hanbury Botanical Gardens in Ventimiglia extend for 18 hectares on the promontory overlooking the sea, a few kilometers from the Italian-French border.
It is an acclimatization garden of exotic plants, among the most important and famous in the world.
Founded in 1867 by Sir Thomas Hanbury, you can admire: the Australian Forest, rich in eucalyptus;
the collections of acacias, bamboo and succulent plants; the Perfume Garden, the Italian gardens with roses and peonies; the citrus grove with ancient varieties of citrus fruits and the exotic orchard.
