Stand up paddle (SUP) is a variant of surfing where you stand on a board, using a special paddle to move

Recently there are many Beach Club offering this activity, originally native to Hawaii

It is a "crossover" sport both because it intercepts lovers of various aquatic disciplines and because it is a good compromise between fitness and fun and, here in Liguria, thanks to the favorable mild climate, practicable for a good part of the year ( sometimes wearing a wetsuit)

From a physical point of view it's a good training activity, but the sense of freedom of paddling in the middle of the sea on a board, alone or with friends, while cruising along the coast, turns out to be also very satisfying and relaxing.
