The city of Cristoforo Colombo, of the powerful and rich Maritime Republic of the 16th/17th century, loved by Flemish painters in the Renaissance and home to contemporary songwriters and poets, is a magical and still authentic place.Elegant, vertical, multicultural, tasty, historical, artistic... Genoa has many souls and these intertwine with each other as do the alleys (caruggi) of the large historic centre.
A visit to the city cannot fail to start from Palazzi dei Rolli, a UNESCO heritage site, and then arrive at the Aquarium, the Porto Antico, with the Bigo, and the Strada Nuova Museums.
Visit the exhibitions and learn about the medieval prisons of Palazzo Ducale, get lost in the parks, such as those of Nervi or Villa Durazzo Pallavicini, and in the ancient fishing village of Boccadasse.
You can visit the city from the sea, by boat, to the seaside promenade of Pegli or to the Cinque Terre or discover the historic shops of the historic center or go shopping in via XX Settembre.
